Experience has shown that close control of any building project is essential to maintain budget and time constraints and to minimize impact on continuing occupancy. We suggest the project manager should oversee the whole of the project and act as an interface between the Client and the consultant team and contractor(s). Teamwork and team building are important aspects of any project.

The following chart demonstrates how Wicksteeds will project manage a typical development and describes the benefits to be gained. The processes and milestones may need to be adjusted to suit specific client requirements.

Tender Documents and

Allows for best value tendering for a defined scope of work
Finalises Client requirements into detailed tender documents
   
Receive Tenders Permits establishment of a 'market place' price for the project
   
Construction Period Changes to Client requirements can still be incorporated but ideally should be kept to a minimum
   
Completion and Handover Assists Client with occupancy strategy
